Wedding Rental Policies
Contract and Deposits
A signed copy of the McCulloch House Event Agreement and a non-refundable down payment of $1000.00 is required to secure your event date on our calendar. In addition, a security deposit in the amount of $1000.00 is also due at signing of the contract. The security deposit is refundable after the event if all procedures and guidelines are followed by you, your guests and all of your outside vendors. Should there be no undue damage or clean-up following the event your deposit will be returned within 7 days after your event.

318 Lewis & Clark Parkway, Clarksville, IN 47129. If you choose to pay by credit card a 4% processing fee will be added.

The McCulloch House is not liable for any loss or damages of personal property, family heirlooms used in the ceremony, rental property or any personal injury whatsoever. Any guest at an event is the responsibility of the client (or signee of this contract). The client is responsible for the proper conduct of his or her guests, including children. The client does hereby agree to not hold the McCullcoh House liable and shall indemnify the McCulloch House from any and all claims made against it or its employees and as a result of any personal injury or damages to property brought on the premises.
The McCulloch House is available for rental of events 7 days a week.
Rental times are as follows:
Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday 12 noon - 6 p.m. (premium rates apply)
The number of hours included in your agreement are as follows:
5 hours for the event up to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on Saturday
5 hours prior to the event for access to bridal suite and vendors to deliver and set up with 1 hour after the event for clean up and removal of all items brought in by either a vendor or the rentee.
If additional hours are needed, they can be added at $150 per hour. Arrangements for additional time must be made at least 7 days prior to your event. Failure to abide by these policies will result in loss of security deposit.
Cancellations that are 30 days or less, prior to the event date, will require balance to be paid in full. Client would be entitled to apply the $1000 security deposit towards the balance.
Cancellations that are made at least 31 days prior to the event, (and prior to the 50% payment) will result in loss of the first $1000 down payment. However, the client will be entitled to the $1000 security deposit. If the client wishes to reschedule, he or she may re-book at that time and apply deposits to the new date. This will only be if the House is re -booked at cancellation.
If an event must be canceled due to extreme weather conditions, or any mandates from government entities, the McCulloch House must be notified at least 36 hours prior to the event. The client will be permitted to re-book within 6 months and use all money paid toward the new date.
All food is to be provided by Terri Lynn’s Catering. This will also include non alcoholic beverages. NO outside food is allowed. The only exception to this is the use of a licensed baker to provide a wedding cake. Bakers must pre arrange delivery and sign an Outside Vendor’s Agreement. Failure to abide by these policies will result in loss of client’s security deposit. You will make an appointment to meet with Terri Lynn to plan your menu, once you have signed your rental agreement and paid the 2 deposits.
The McCulloch House offers a wide range of bar options. From soft drinks, beer and wine to mixed drinks and champagne, our House Manager will work with you to determine what is best for your event. Alcohol is not allowed to be brought in by guests during the event. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 21 years of age. The bar staff of the McCulloch House reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Alcohol is prohibited outside the facility with the exception of the patio and the outdoor smoking area. No drinks are to be carried beyond the exits or beyond the perimeter of the patio. The Bar will close 30 minutes prior to the end of the event. All guests are to depart at the ending time of the event. Failure to abide by these policies will result in loss of security deposit.
Absolutely nothing is to be attached to the walls or any other surface.
Tape, nails or any kind of adhesive are not allowed. Failure to abide by
this policy will result in loss of security deposit.
Rice and glitter are not allowed inside or out. Failure to abide by this policy
will result in loss of security deposit.
No “open flame” candles are permitted. They must be floating in water or
have a glass shade or cylinder around them. Failure to abide by this
policy will result in loss of security deposit.
Smoking is prohibited inside the McCulloch House, on the patio and at the
front entrance. There is a designated smoking area outside. This is the
ONLY place smoking is allowed. The client is responsible for the clean
up of all smoking debris that does not make it into the receptacles.
Failure to clean up after the event will result in loss of security deposit.
NO outside alcohol allowed on the premises. Failure to abide by this policy
will result in loss of security deposit.
Furniture and Special Set Up
The McCulloch House has several options for your event layout. These diagrams are available for your preview. Furniture may not be moved without prior approval and must be moved by house staff. House furniture may be changed or rearranged throughout the year by staff. The McCulloch House will be decorated for the Holiday Season on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Decorations will come down the day after New Years.
Tent and Equipment Rentals
Party Central is our tent rental company. Only barrel tents are allowed and the only area allowed to be tented is the patio. McCulloch House management will coordinate the set up of the tent, but client will be direct billed from Party Central. Damages to trees or any other property are the sole responsibility of the client and will result in additional fees. Limited use of outside electric is available upon advanced request.
Parking and Ramp Accessibility
There is ample guest parking. We also have two cart/wheel chair accessible ramps, one near the main entrance and one off of the patio, for vendors and guests to use.
The use of our Loft for a bridal suite or green room prior to the event is available. This area is only accessible by stairs. The client is responsible for ensuring that all clean up is complete before leaving for the night and within the time allotted. Failure to abide by this policy will result in loss of security deposit.
Our Patio makes a beautiful location for your wedding ceremony. Included in the rental fee of the patio are wrought iron tables and chairs, or white resin folding chairs. There is NO SMOKING ON THE PATIO. Failure to abide by this policy will result in loss of damage deposit.
If you have a vendor who cannot deliver, the McCulloch House may be able to make arrangements to pick up for you. The price for this service will vary depending on availability, distance and items being picked up. Arrangements must be made 30 days prior to the event.
All florals must be prepared and ready for use prior to arrival at the McCulloch House. All flowers and decorative equipment must be cleaned up and removed at the end of the event and within the time allotted. The McCulloch House is not responsible for items left overnight. Failure to remove décor, greenery, vases etc. at the contracted time will result in loss of security deposit and or additional fees. Florists must contact the House Manager at least 30 days prior to the event to make delivery arrangements and sign the Outside Vendor Agreement.
Music & Entertainment
Because The McCulloch House is a historic property in a residential neighborhood, the volume of music must not be heavily amplified. Bands and DJ’s are permitted only inside the House. Any outdoor music must be approved in writing by McCulloch House management. All DJ companies and bands must contact the House Manger at least 30 days prior to the event to make delivery arrangements and sign and Outside Vendor Agreement. They must also provide their own extension cords with cover plates if accessed or in path of guests. Tape or any kind of adhesive is not permitted on hardwood floors, concrete or walls. Furniture and wall hangings are not to be moved. A band is required to use rugs underneath all musical equipment inside the House. Failure to abide by these policies will result in loss of security deposit.
Photographers and Video Policy
All photographers and videographers must contact the House Manger 30 days prior to the event to make delivery arrangements and sign and Outside Vendor Agreement.
All outside vendors (Florists, DJ’s, Photographers, Photo Booth Companies, etc) must contact our House Manager at least 30 days prior to the event to make delivery arrangements and sign the Outside Vendor Agreement
Wedding Ceremony Rehearsals
If you plan to have your wedding ceremony at the McCulloch House, your pricing will depend on your chosen package. There are several layouts available for having both your ceremony and reception. The House Manager will work with you to obtain your desired layout. If you agree to our inclusive Wedding package, your rehearsal/dinner will be on Thursday evening.
